In a swift response to the unfortunate incident in which unknown gunmen abducted members of staff and students of Government Science School, Kagara in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, the Nigerian Army (NA) has mobilized and are currently in hot pursuit of the criminal elements in the general area.
This was disclosed a short while ago via a press release by the Director, Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen Mohamed Yerima.
TheFact Nigeria had earlier reported on the incident making rounds, of the forceful entry of armed bandits into the premises of a secondary school from where they abducted staff and an unspecified number of students of the School in the early hours of today.
The Nigerian Army has, in the meantime,communicated reassurances to the general public that, in line with its constitutional mandate, and in operational synergy with Sister security agencies, they are in hot pursuit of the criminal elements in order to ensure safe return of the kidnapped victims.
Furthermore, the NA also calls on members of the general public for their cooperation by providing actionable information to security agencies that would lead to the capture of these criminal elements, and the release of their victims.
