The Kebbi State Government has described as misleading and malicious the report of new salary structure being circulated on social media.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the State Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba-Bena, the Kebbi State government urged the state civil servants and the general public to disregard the unauthorized table and patiently await the government’s official and accurate salary structure.
Garba-Bena expressed the state civil service’s appreciation for the patience, understanding, and resilience of Kebbi State workers and their labor unions, urging them to remain steadfast.
He also reminded the workers of their governor’s strong ties to the labor movement, noting, “Your beloved Governor, His Excellency, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, was once a unionist and remains deeply committed to workers’ welfare. The government is working diligently to ensure the happiness and satisfaction of all state civil servants.”
“Allow me to emphasize that your governor, the people’s governor, has a rich history in unionism, rising from local levels to become the Vice President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC). As the saying goes, ‘Once a General, always a General.’ Kauran remains a unionist at heart and will not let you down,” Garba-Bena assured.
