The Supreme Court has reserved judgement in an appeal filed by the Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate, Murtala Ajaka against the declaration of All Progressives Congress (APC) Usman Ododo, as duly elected Governor of Kogi state.
The Supreme Court, after hearing the two parties in election petition, it reserved judgement.
According to the Court, date for the judgement will be communicated to the parties.
It would be recalled that Governor Ododo was having been declared the winner of the November 11th 2023.
But, dissatisfied with the declaration, his closest opponent, Alhaji Ajaka of the SDP approached the to Election Petition Tribunal, seeking for the nullification of the election on various grounds.
The Tribunal however did not find merit in the SDP candidate as it upheld the election of APC Governor Ododo.
Also, dissatisfied, the SDP candidate headed to the Court of Appeal without success, hence the journey to the Supreme Court being the last court in this instance.
