Members of Middle Belt Journalists Forum (MBJF) have expressed sadness over the tragic collapse of a two-storey school building in Jos, resulting in the loss of precious lives and injuries to many.
The National President, MBJF, Mark Mayah who extended the Forum’s condolences in a statement on Friday said, “our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of the victims, the school community, and the entire people of Plateau State”.
He said, “the incident is a devastating reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of prioritizing safety and structural integrity in our buildings”.
While urging the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and take necessary measures to prevent such tragedies in the future, the Forum prayed that God should comfort and strengthen everyone in this difficult time.
“May the souls of innocent children and souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen”, Mayah wrote in the statement.
