MNJTF Inducts New Officers, Urges Dedication To Mission Principles

The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), has inducted new Military Staff Officers (MSOs) into its cadre.

Chief Military Information Officer, HQ MNJTF N’djamena Chad, Lt. Col. Olaniyi Osoba, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.

TheFact Daily notes that the induction of these new officers marks a significant milestone in the MNJTF’s ongoing mission to bring stability to the Lake Chad region. It reinforces the force’s unwavering commitment to its mandate and the values that guide its operations, setting a strong foundation for continued success in the pursuit of peace and security in the Lake Chad Region.

Force Commander (FC) MNJTF, Major General Ibrahim Ali, during the induction ceremony, charged the new MSOs to remain steadfast and dedicated to the principles that guide the mission, stating that the ceremony marks not just the beginning of their journey with MNJTF but also the continuation of a legacy built on dedication, honor and unwavering commitment to the mandate of MNJTF.

Highlighting the unity and common purpose that bind the MNJTF family together, the FC said, “As ambassadors of your countries, you are now part of a team that transcends individuality. We are united by a common goal – to ensure that peace and security return to the fringes of Lake Chad”.

Encouraging the new officers to embody the values of courage, loyalty, and respect, Major General Ali emphasized the pivotal role they will play in shaping the future of the MNJTF.

“Your contributions are vital to our success. Lead by example, inspire those around you, and always keep sight of the greater good we strive to achieve,” he urged, while also expressing confidence in the new MSOs’ ability and unity as a team.

“I am confident that you will rise to the occasion and surpass expectations. Together, we will uphold the honor of our force and ensure the safety and security of those we serve. Welcome to the team. Let us move forward with determination, unity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence,” he remarked.

The diverse coalition of officers from Cameroon, Chad, Nigeria, Niger, and the Republic of Benin brings with them a wealth of skills and a shared sense of purpose. Selected for their exceptional dedication. They are poised to serve a one-year tour of duty, representing their nations with pride and determination.

The induction course will equip the officers with comprehensive training, covering a range of topics from the history and mandate of the MNJTF to customs, ethics, and traditions of the region. Detailed briefings on duties, air operations, AU/MST activities, and administrative matters will also be provided to ensure the officers are well-prepared for their responsibilities.
