The Nigerian Air Force has announced the maiden edition of its Chief of the Air Staff’s (CAS) Literary Competition.
The competition, which is part of the 2025 Nigerian Air Force celebration is themed “Optimizing Civil-Military Operations In A Joint Operational Environment For Enhanced Air Operations”, a d entry into the competition opens on Monday 10 February 2025, and closes on Friday, 11 April 2025.
Categories of the competition include CAS Essay Competition for tertiary institutions, with first, second and third prize winners taking home 1 million, 750,000 and 500,000 naira respectively, CAS Poetry Competition for secondary schools, with first, second and third prizes of 600,000, 400,000 and 200,000 naira respectively, and the CAS Art Competition for primary schools with 300,000, 200,000 and 100,000 cash prizes for the first, second and third place winners respectively.
According to information posted by the NAF on its Facebook page, the competition is open to all Nigerian children and youth, within the ages of 5 to 11 years for primary schools pupils, 12 to 17 for secondary school students and 18 to 24 for students of tertiary institutions.
