
The Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Department of Land Warfare of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji, to enhance professional military education and operational effectiveness.
The Commandant of NASI, Major General Frank Etim, gave the assurance on Friday while receiving the newly appointed Director, Department of Land Warfare, AFCSC, Brigadier General Babatunde Omopariola, during a familiarisation visit to the school headquarters.
Etim congratulated Omopariola on his appointment and stressed that NASI would sustain close cooperation with the department, particularly through the exchange of instructional best practices aimed at improving operational outcomes across the Nigerian Army.
Earlier, Omopariola said the Department of Land Warfare is responsible for developing and delivering land warfare doctrine, conducting professional military education and staff training for mid-level officers, and undertaking research on emerging operational challenges. He added that the department also promotes joint, inter-agency and multinational operational synergy.
The director called for continued institutional support from NASI to strengthen capacity development initiatives within the Army.
The visit featured the signing of the visitors’ book, exchange of souvenirs and a group photograph.
