Navy Seizes Five Boats With Stolen Crude In Two Days

The Nigerian Navy through its Operation DELTA SANITY has intercepted 5 boats laden with stolen crude.

The NN disclosed this on Tuesday via its Facebook page.

TheFact Daily gathers that on Monday 4 November 2024, Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) PATHFINDER intercepted and impounded 3 wooden boats laden with an unspecified amount of stolen Crude Oil in Krakrama Axis, Rivers State.

Additionally, on Tuesday 5 November 2024, NNS PATHFINDER Patrol team intercepted and impounded 2 wooden boats laden with a large amount of stolen crude oil in Bille River Axis, also in Rivers State.

It will be noted that the NN has adopted a multi-faceted approach to combat oil theft, including aggressive surveillance and patrols, the dismantling of illegal refining sites, and the arrest of suspects.

The NN is collaborating with international partners to strengthen its ability to combat maritime crime.
