Niger Govt Thanks NEMA For Intervention In 2020 Flood Disasters
The Niger State government has expressed gratitude to the National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA) for the agency’s intervention in the 2020 flood disasters in the state.

Deputy Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed Ketso conveyed the gratitude of the government and people of the state when he paid a visit to the Director General, AVM Muhammadu A. Mohammed at the headquarters of the National Emergency Management Agency in Abuja.
On its official Twitter handle, @nemanigeria wrote: “The Deputy Governor of Niger State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed Ketso today paid a visit to the headquarters of the National Emergency Management Agency, Abuja. He was received by the Director General AVM MA Muhammed (rtd).
“The Deputy Governor who is the Chairman of Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA) and DG NEMA also discussed strategies to mitigate against flood this year and other areas of partnerships that will improve response to disaster aand humanitarian situations in the state.
“The Deputy Governor, during the visit appreciated NEMA on behalf of the Niger State Government for the prompt delivery of humanitarian assistance approved by the President and Commander in Chief, HE @MBuhari to persons affected by the 2020 floods and other disasters in the state”.
Recall that in the past few weeks, NEMA has also distributed relief materials to victims of the 2020 floods in communities in Enugu, Imo and Lagos state respectively.
