Nigeria Hails Republic Of Chad On Independence Anniversary

Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, extends has extended warm congratulations and best wishes to His Excellency, Mahamat Annadif, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chadians Abroad and International Cooperation of the Republic of Chad, on the occasion of their country ‘s Independence Anniversary.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Ebienfa on Monday.

“As Chad marks the joyous anniversary of sovereignty and progress, Nigeria joins in celebrating the remarkable resilience, unity, and commitment to patriotic leadership, which have continued to define the Chadian people.

“The longstanding bilateral relations between our two brotherly nations, anchored on shared history, cultural affinity and cooperation, remain a source of pride and a pillar of friendship and solidarity within the Lake Chad Basin, the West African subregion, and across the African continent”, the statement read in part.

Ebienfa wrote further: “Nigeria, therefore, reaffirms its commitment to deepening collaboration with the Republic of Chad in all areas of mutual interest, particularly in trade, security, education, and regional integration under the frameworks of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the African Union (AU)”.

He therefore commended Chad’s steadfast contributions to peace, stability, and development in the region, especially under the umbrella of the Multilateral Joint Task Force, and “look forward to the continued strengthening of our bonds for the prosperity of our peoples”.
