Nigerian Cyclist Borrows Bicycle From German Team At Paris 2024

Nigerian Cyclist, Ese Ukpeseraye found herself in a difficult situation when she had no bicycle to race with in the keirin and sprint events due to the short notice of her participation.

In a post on her X handle on Thursday, the athlete disclosed how the German team came to her rescue.

“Due to the short notice of me competing at the keirin & Sprint, #teamNigeria I had no bicycle to race with on the tracks.

“In d spirit of sportsmanship the German team @bunddeutscherradfahr came to my rescue by offering me a bicycle. Thank you”, she wrote.

The Olympic Games are a magnificent celebration of human potential and sporting excellence, bringing nations together in a grand display of athletic prowess. At the core of this global event is trust.

The current Olympic Games in Paris 2024 has 32 sports with over 10, 500 athletes competing in swimming, basketball, gymnastics, archery and others.
