‘Nigerian Teachers Need Mental Evaluation’
Media personality and fashion entrepreneur, Laura Ikeji-Kanu, has reacted to the reports of teachers brutalizing and taking advantage of their students.
Laura, who wasn’t pleased with this, called for the mental evaluation of teachers in Nigeria.
This suggestions after series of reports about teachers mistreating their students in the name of discipline, surfaced on the news.
About three days ago, a three-year-old girl was reportedly brutalized by her teacher in a school in Lagos just because she couldn’t recite the English alphabet.
Also, a 19-month-old baby recently lost his life after he was mercilessly beaten by his teacher. Social media users reacted to this and requested that justice must be served.
In an apparent reaction to the recent happenings, Laura insisted that it has reached the point where Nigerian teachers need to undergo a mental evaluation.
She took to her Instagram page and wrote: “Teachers in Nigeria need mental evaluation. We need to know that the ppl we leave our kids with are normal human beings. Mental evaluation for all teachers in naija. Lets take out the bad ones. If you’re unhappy n frustrated, being a teacher isn’t the best profession for u”.
