TheFact Daily had reported of the company’s readiness to release Twelve Thousand, Two hundred Metric Tonnes (12,200 MT) of the refined fuel, that is, 16.3 million litres per day, to the NNPC Ltd. out of the 25 million litres per day initially demanded.

Recall that the Dangote’s 650,000 barrels per day refinery plans to produce 53 million litres per day to meet the nation’s 33 million litres of petrol per day demand.

The refinery is expected to not only solve the nation’s current fuel crisis but also transform it into a net exporter of petroleum products.

It is also expected to end the 28 years of fuel importation since the nation’s four refineries stopped production. And help conserve foreign exchange, as the country spent about $23.3 billion last year on petroleum product importation.
