The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Lt.), announced that it has successfully restored the Escravos–Lagos Pipeline System (ELPS) in Warri, Delta State.
Andy Odeh, Chief Corporate Communications Officer of the NNPC Ltd., announced this in a statement on Monday.
He explained that following the breach of the pipeline on December 10, 2025, the company immediately activated its emergency response, deployed coordinated containment measures, and worked tirelessly with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the damaged section was repaired, pressure-tested, and safely recommissioned.
The NNPC Spokesperson said “Today, the pipeline is fully operational, reaffirming our resilience and commitment to energy security.”
According to him, the achievement was made possible through the unwavering support of the host communities, the guidance of regulators, the vigilance of security agencies, and the dedication of the company’s partners and staff.
“Together, we turned a challenging moment into a success story, restoring operations in record time while upholding the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship,” he added.
NNPC said it remains steadfast in its pledge to protect its environment, safeguard its communities, and maintain the integrity and reliability of our assets.
