NNPC Posts N385Bn PAT In January 2026

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has reported a Profit After Tax (PAT) of N385 billion for January 2026.

This figure was contained in the Monthly Report Summary for January 2026, released by the national oil company on Monday. 

The report also highlighted key figures, including crude oil and condensate production, natural gas output, revenue, strategic initiatives during the period, and more.

According to the report, NNPC Ltd generated a total revenue of N2,571 trillion within the same period reported. The company, according to the report, made statutory payments of N726 billion in January 2026. 

It also revealed that Crude Oil & Condensate Production was 1.64 mbopd, while Natural Gas Production was 7,283 mscf/d in January 2026, representing increases of approximately 5.81% and 5.34% respectively, when compared with the December 2025 report. 

NNPC explained that while Production increased month on month following the completion of Turn Around Maintenance at Agbami and Renaissance (Estuary Area – EA), planned deliveries for January were reduced due to bad weather, evacuation, and asset integrity challenges. 

NNPC also reported 54% Premium Motor Spirit (PMS)availability in its retail filling stations across the country within the same period. 

On the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline project, NNPC put the progress at 92%. Noting that pre-commissioning activities continued while significant progress was reported in the construction of the Block Valve Stations (BVS) and Intermediate Pigging Stations (IPS). 

NNPC also puts the completion of the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) Gas Pipeline project (River Niger Crossing) at 96%, adding that drilling activities are progressing as scheduled.
