The Director General of National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, has given a commitment for the Agency to partner with the Health Reform Foundation of Nigeria (HERFON) to promote health security in the country.

It noted that the collaboration includes forming a joint committee to implement a project titled “Strengthening Accountability for Health Security Finances and Vaccines Equitable Access in Nigeria,” aimed at increasing government investment in health security and improving the country’s ability to respond to public health emergencies.
Two other NGOs, Vaccine Network for Disease Control (VNDC) and Gem-Hub Initiative (GHI), will also participate in the project.
NOA will leverage its extensive reach across Nigeria and its upgraded digital infrastructure to disseminate crucial health information.
On his part, Chairman of HERFON, Dr. Idris Mohammed emphasised the importance of this partnership in line with WHO’s recommendations and Nigeria’s National Health Act of 2014.
