Ogun Police Arrest Suspect Over Murder Of Two

Detectives of the Ajuwon Division of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested 25-year-old Abubakar Musa over the alleged murder of two persons and attempted murder of three others at Olámbe, Ogun State.

The Command’s spokesperson, Oluseyi Babaseyi, who disclosed this on Wednesday said the suspect reportedly attacked the victims with a knife following a dispute linked to failed business dealings, striking while they were trying to calm him.

According to Babaseyi, the incident occurred on Tuesday, 7 April 2026, at about 0138hrs, when the suspect stabbed five individuals. Two victims, Gbadamasi Ibrahim, 25, and Chinedu, 40, died on the way to the hospital and were later confirmed dead by a doctor. The three others—Mohammed Abubakar, 35; Ashiru Adamu, 25; and Paul Lawrence, 25—remain in critical condition but are responding to treatment.

Police said the suspect fled the scene after the attack but was subsequently apprehended by detectives. He is currently in custody, while the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and prosecution.

The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, condemned the attack and assured the public that justice would be served. He also urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious or violent activities to the police.
