Popular Nigerian TikTok content creator, Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller, was rushed to the hospital today after a dramatic car crash on the Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos.
The incident was recorded live on Instagram, shocking thousands of viewers and sparking concerns across social media.
The teenage influencer, who recently acquired a Mercedes-Benz SUV appeared distressed during the live broadcast.
The livestream captured him crying while in the car, in what many believe was a result of a heated phone conversation with his girlfriend, fellow influencer, Jarvis, amid rumors of a breakup.
Peller was seen in the viral video, threatening self-harm.
His Statement read this: “I will use this car and have an accident right now,” he said at one point, followed by, “I’m scared, I don’t want to harm anybody; I just want to do this myself.
“If you break up with me, people will be mocking me, he said.”
Moments later, he deliberately veered off the road and crashed into a barrier, abruptly ending the stream.
People quickly arrived at the scene, assisting the distressed star before he was transported to a nearby hospital.
Photos and videos circulating online show the luxury vehicle severely damaged, but initial reports suggest Peller survived with no life-threatening injuries, though his exact condition remains unconfirmed.
