President Bola Tinubu, has congratulated the former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, GCFR, as he marks his 91st birthday today.
Tinubu, in a statement on Sunday by the Presidency joined family, friends, and well-wishers across the country to celebrate the elder stateman.
The President extolled Gowon for his unwavering patriotism, visionary leadership, and enduring contributions to the unity, peace, and development of Nigeria.
He acknowledged General Gowon’s exemplary statesmanship and his continued counsel in national affairs, which remain invaluable to the growth and stability of the country.
He prayed that the Almighty God grants the former Head of State long life, good health, and renewed strength in his service to humanity and the nation.
