Senator Shehu Sani has appealed to Muslims of all denominations to liaise with the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, to avoid the controversies of the past.
This is even as the Muslim Ummah get set to commence this year’s Ramadan fasting season.
The 2021 Ramadan fasting season begins on the evening of Tuesday, April 13, and ends on May 12, 2021.
Senator Sani wished all Muslim Ummah a blessed holy month of Ramadan.
@ShehuSani wrote: “As we get prepared to commence the Ramadan fasting,I appeal to all Islamic denominations or Sects to harmonize with the Sultan, in order to avoid the controversies of the past.Wishing All the Muslim Ummah a blessed Holy Ramadan Season ahead.”
Meanwhile, the crescent moon, which signifies the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, has been sighted in Saudi Arabia, according to the Saudi authorities.
This reflects that April 12 was the last day of the month of Shaaban, and the holy month of Ramadan will begin on Tuesday, April 13.
