The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) says the approved upkeep allowance for students on its loan scheme remains ₦20,000 (Twenty Thousand Naira) monthly.
Director, Strategic Communications of NELFUND, Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi in a statement on Monday said the clarification was in response to misinformation circulating regarding the monthly upkeep allowance for student beneficiaries.
“For clarity, the approved upkeep allowance remains ₦20,000 (Twenty Thousand Naira) monthly, and not ₦25,000 as being reported.
“Students are advised to disregard any contrary information and rely only on official NELFUND communication channels for accurate updates”, she said.
Oluwatuyi further said the Fund appreciates the continued cooperation of students and remains committed to delivering transparent, efficient, and student-focused support nationwide.
