The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has informed electricity customers in Kogi State of a scheduled annual preventive maintenance at its Ajaokuta 330/132kV Transmission Substation.
TCN’s General Manager, Public Affairs, Mrs. Ndidi Mbah who announced the development in a statement on Friday said, the scheduled maintenance could take place today, Friday, July 12, 2024, from 10 am to 1 pm.
She explained that its maintenance crew would carry out the annual maintenance on its 132kV Ajaokuta-Itakpe-Okenne-Okpella 1 line switchgears at the Ajaokuta Transmission Substation.
Consequently, she said, both Abuja and Benin Distribution Companies would not be able to offtake bulk power from TCN’s OKENNE, OKPELLA and ITAKPE Transmission Substations for three (3) hours only.
Mrs. Mbah, however, assured that the company would restore bulk electricity supply to the DisCos immediately after the maintenance is completed.
“We regret any inconvenience this may cause electricity consumers served from these substations”, she said.
