TCN Announces Scheduled Power Outages In Parts Of Lokoja

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced that due to ongoing equipment maintenance at its Lokoja
330/132/33kV Transmission Substation, there would outages in parts of the Kogi State capital.

TCN’s General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, who disclosed the development in a statement on Saturday, said the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) would be unable to off-take electricity to its customers in Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja; Specialist Hospital; GRA; Kabba; Federal University; Kogi Polytechnic; Zango; Kaduna Junction and environs.

Mrs. Mbah informed that the company’s maintenance crew is currently carrying out a scheduled preventive maintenance on 150MVA, 330/132/33kV and 60MVA, 132/33kV transformers at Lokoja Transmission Substation, today, March 7, 2026, from 10 am to 5 pm.

She, however, assured that power supply would be restored immediately the maintenance work is completed.

TCN apologises for any inconvenience the maintenance work may cause electricity consumers in affected areas.
