The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) says it has successfully energized a new 60/63MVA mobile power transformer at its 132/33kV Kwanar Dangora Transmission Substation in Kano State.
TCN General Manager, Public Affairs, Mrs. Ndidi Mbah who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday said, the substation, which previously had an installed capacity of 40MVA, has now increased by 60/63MVA due to the energized transformer.
She said, the mobile transformer is expected to alleviate the load on both TCN’s Dan Agundi and Kumbotso Substations as Kano DisCo will now be able to offtake electricity from the transformer in the Kwanar Dangora Substation and distribute to DANTATA RICE MILL, NB CERAMIC, LAW SCHOOL, DOGUWA, RANO, KURA, GARIN MALLAM, and other neighbouring Kano Local Government Areas.
