Terrorist Leaders Surrender Amidst Sustained Military Operations

Two prominent terrorist leaders, Abu Radde and Umar Black, operating in Batsari and Safana Local Government Area of Katsina state, have surrendered to troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA in the Northwest operational theatre of the nation.

The Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. Edward Buba, disclosed this on Tuesday, saying the surrender is occasioned by ongoing synchronised offensive operations by both ground troops and the air component, which resulted in several terrorist dislodged from their enclaves with high casualties.

Earlier today, TheFact Daily reported that notorious bandit leader, Bello Turji, flustered by heightened military operations mounted by troops, released all individuals held captive by his group.

Buba stated that during the operations, troops recovered assorted weapons and ammunitions, and secured the release of 15 hostages held by the terrorists, adding that troops are nevertheless sustaining the momentum as they continue the hunt for Turji and others.

The Director said that on the whole, troops will continue to eliminate threats posed by terrorists and will bury them on the battlefield unless they surrender.

“Additionally, troops continue with their operations to create conditions whereby terrorists are denied the ability to carry out acts of terror against citizens”, he said.
