President Bola Tinubu has commiserated with the National Assembly, and the Kaduna State Government over the passing of Honourable Ekene Abubakar Adams, a lawmaker representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency of Kaduna State in the House of Representatives.
The President also extended his condolences to the family and friends of the late lawmaker, urging them to find solace in the Almighty and in the legacy of the deceased.
A statement issued on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale said, President Tinubu prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed lawmaker and strength to his family.
Hon. Ekene Adams died in the early hours of today Tuesday, at the age of 39.
His death is coming less than a week after the loss of Representative Olaide Akinremi from Oyo state in the Green Chamber.
Adams was also one-time General Manager of Remo Stars Football Club in Ogun State before contesting and winning the House of Reps election on the platform of the Labour Party in 2023.
Confirming his death, House Spokesman, Akin Rotimi said Adams was a dedicated public servant, passionate sports administrator, and kind philanthropist who will be deeply missed by the Green Chamber.
Hon. Ekene Adams becomes the 4th member to pass on in the life of the 10th House of Representatives.
