President Bola Tinubu has applauded the efforts of the security agencies towards the safe release of the abducted 280 Kuriga school children.
Tinubu gave the commendation in a tweet on his X account (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, March 24, 2024.
TheFact Daily reports that the news of the release of the Kuriga school children in Kaduna State was first conveyed by the Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani via his X handle in the early hours of today.
Reacting to the development, President Tinubu thanked the National Security Adviser, the Security Agencies, and the Kaduna State Government for the dispatch and diligence with which they handled the situation.
The President also welcomed the release of pupils of a Tsangaya school in Sokoto State and commended all the parties to the feat for their valiant effort.
He said, “it is clear that incipient urgency, meticulous attention, and tireless dedication are critical to optimal outcomes in cases of mass abductions”.
Tinubu re-emphasized the importance of collaboration between the federal government and states for expected outcomes, especially on matters of security.
He reassured Nigerians that his administration is deploying detailed strategies to ensure that schools remain safe sanctuaries of learning, not lairs for wanton abductions.
