Tinubu Reappoints Amos Azi Chairman Investments, Securities Tribunal

The President Bola Tinubu, has approved the reappointment Amos Azi, as the Chairman of the Investments and Securities Tribunal (IST).

This follows the recommendations of the Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, pursuant to section 315 and 319 (2) of the Investments and Securities Act 2025.

According to a statement by the Ag. Head, Corporate Affairs Department, IST, Maria Anodere, the appointment marks a significant step towards strengthening the adjudicatory framework of the Nigerian Capital Market, as the new Members bring their rich experience in Capital Market, Law, Finance and public service to enhance the efficiency of the Tribunal in justice delivery and in promoting investors’ confidence.

Other newly appointed members are:
Gboyega Oyekanmi, Member, Felix Onwuneme, Member, Shehu Lawal Mandiya, Member, Robert Uchenna Okwuego, Member, Osaze Ize – Iyamu , Member,
Ummahani Ahmad Amin, Member, Ali Sadiq Mohammed, Member, Olatunde M. Amolegbe, Member,
Udegbulam Athanatius Chukwuemeka, Member, Orya Ungwaga Roberts, Member, and Kamarudee Oladosu, Member.

The Investments and Securities Tribunal is a specialized adjudicatory body established to enable a timeous resolution of disputes and enforce rights arising from investments and securities transactions.

It is a very critical capital market infrastructure which serves to ensure fairness, transparency and integrity in our financial market, thereby promoting investors’ confidence.
