Uzodimma’s Ex-aide, Others In Police Net For Fraud, Vandalism, Harassment

The Imo State Police Command has arrested former Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodimma on Special Duties, Chinasa Nwaneri along with three other individuals.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Imo State Command, ASP Henry Okoye, confirmed that Nwaneri was in the custody of the State Police Command.
He said the governor’s former aide was arrested on Sunday over allegations of “malicious damage, fraudulent activities, obtaining money under false pretence and illegal use of government power/authority to harass, intimidate and frustrate the citizens of Imo State.
Security operatives, who had been tracking his movements, located him at a hotel where he was staying and subsequently took him into custody.
Sources said the governor on assumption of duty as commissioner for lands discovered through some documents that his signature was allegedly forged
ASP Okoye stated that the investigation was still ongoing, and assured that further development would be communicated in due course.
