WASSCE Resit Not For Nigerian Candidates — WAEC

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Nigeria has clarified that the newly introduced resit examination was not meant for Ghanaian candidates, not Nigerians.

TheFact Daily gathered that some sections of Nigerian media announced that WAEC had newly introduced a resit examination to be conducted between January and February for candidates who may need make-up papers in their senior school certificate examination (WASSCE).

In the viral report, the WAEC’s Head of Public Affairs, John Kapi, who was quoted as a source of the story is a Ghanaian working for the Ghana office of WAEC.

The head of the Public Affairs unit of WAEC Nigeria, Mrs Moyosola Adesina, said the first series of the WASSCE diet for private candidates which had been on for some years was usually held between February and March had not changed as the organisation was prepared to conduct this year’s edition as scheduled.
