The Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) says it has not fixed the price of petrol for its $20billion refinery as being speculated.
Dangote Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, made the clarification in a statement on Tuesday.
The clarification was in response to media reports quoting the Oil Marketers as Projecting N600/litre for Dangote Petrol.
Chiejina explained that the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) is not yet the company’s business partner.
Noting that the company never discussed price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) with them, consequently, have no mandate or authority to speak for the company, either for good or with hidden transcript.
He, therefore, urged the public to desist from such speculative announcements, stressing that the company has its official channels through which it makes its views known to its stakeholders.
