Wizkid Acknowledges Portrait Of Him Drawn By Nigerian Artist
Award winning Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has appreciated the work of a Nigerian artist who made a beautiful portrait of him.
The artist, Amos Osemwengie, made a portrait of the legendary singer and posted it on his social media page.
According to him, the potrait documents the singers distinguish album, Made In Lagos.
He shared a video and photos of the beautiful piece on Instagram to narrate the inspiration that led to the creation of the portrait.
Amos explained:
“We can think about this piece as my first attempt at infusing both art forms. By creating a traditional visual art of one of Africa’s leading music star Wizkid (Big Wiz). Documenting what i believe to be his most solid project yet “Made In Lagos”.
“As inspired by such a gorgeous body of work which encompasses the embodiment of Afrobeats with a tease of jazz, reggae and soul music all through the entire project i have infused every element i find exciting to the album and also every visual element which I find describes the Artist’s artistry”.
Fortunately, Wizkid’s attention was drawn to the beautiful work of art.
The superstar encouraged the Nigerian artist by sharing photos of the portrait on his Insta-stories.
He also commented on his post to show his interest in the piece.
“Want this! Love!”, he wrote.
