To many lovers of the Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) reality show, no Housemate has ever captured the heart of Africans like one of the Season5 Big Brother Naija Lock Down Housemates, Erica Ngozi Nlewedim now dubbed as Star Girl.
Fans and lovers of the show observed that the 26-year old actress, commercial model and video vixen who walked into the BB Naija House on July 19, 2020 as an open book (without a script), caught the attention of many across the African Continent with her cute smiles.
The beautiful light-skinned reality star did not just capture many hearts across the African Continent with her cute smiles, but her simplicity, humility and the premium content brought into the show by her, captured many hearts.
She is described as the centre of attention and attraction.
Erica who walked into the house as an ordinary girl, left many fans in shock as she kept her numerous achievements before the show private from housemates.
The Abia born star who discovered her modeling talent at a young age, became the brand Ambassador for Natures Gentle Touch; a personal style brand that uses natural ingredients to solve hair and scalp challenges in 2013.
In 2014, she participated in the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MGBN) pageant where she quickly became a fan favourite which earned her the MBGN Miss Photogenic award. The competition made her gain massive recognition which saw her work with high profile brands. She also featured in a Peak Milk TV advert alongside Nigerian pop Artiste, Falz.
Over her modelling years, she has worked with brands including Glo, Jumia, Zaron Cosmetics, Access Bank and Maltina, yet, she chose not blow her trumpet.
Erica’s acting career kicked off in 2015 with a lead role in Secrets and Scandals. She also featured in the TV Series, Royal Castle for three seasons. In that same year, she starred in the movie Poka Messiah, Directed by Ernest Obi.
In 2016, she featured in a thriller; Once Upon A Night, where she played a supporting character. Erica has also featured in TV series and movies like My Flatmates and The Paternity Deal, Being Farouk, Dead Rites, Fractured, Win or Lose, Made in heaven and a host of others. She also played a supporting role in the blockbuster movie, Hire A Woman.
In a bid to further her acting career, Erica studied Acting for Film at the Met Film School, London, in 2019.
She founded Erica Nlewedim Foundation in 2018, a non-governmental Organisation geared towards catering to underprivileged children. The foundation embarks on periodical visits to orphanage homes with the donation of babies’ supplies and other consumables.
In December 2019, Erica Nlewedim Foundation launched its Hunger Heroes Campaign which successfully fed 1000 less privileged individuals on the streets of Lagos, Nigeria.
She holds the position of the brand’s Chief Executive Officer with her Luxury hair brand, Beluxia Hair.
According to many lovers of the show, the Big Brother Naija show is surely a huge platform to showcase one’s talent and Erica has surely used the show to her gain.

The reality star whose journey on the show came to an emotional end on September 6, 2020, is highly cherished by her fans called ‘The Elite League’.
Since she left the show, The ‘Elite League’ known as Elites did not just tweet with different hash tags to show the Star Girl how much she is loved, but they went extra mile to open gofundme account with the aim to raise $100, 000 (about N38, 000, 000), in less than two weeks, the Elites have raised over N15, 000, 000.
