The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFund) has said students of 36 State-owned institutions can commence applications for the education loan announced by the Federal Government.
a total of 36 state-owned tertiary institutions had been onboarded for the Student loan noting that the students of the institutions can commence their loan applications.
This was according to a post on NELFund official X handle on Sunday, July 7, 2024.
TheFact Daily recalls that the Fund had postponed the application process for student loan for state institutions by two weeks due to the failure of several state owned institutions to upload the required student data and fees information to the NELFUND Student Verification System (SVS).
The post read: “The management of NELFUND is pleased to announce that students enrolled in the following 36 state-owned tertiary institutions can now apply for student loans effective today, 7th July 2024
“The management of these institutions have successfully submitted their students’ data to the NELFUND Student Verification System. We urge all other state-owned tertiary institutions to submit their complete student data to the NELFUND Student Verification System timely to enable their students to benefit from the scheme.”
