Action Alliance Writes IGP, INEC Chair Ahead Of March Congresses, Convention
Legal representatives of the Action Alliance, (AA), S.C Uchendu Chambers have written to the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) on the need to recognize the Chief (Barr.) Kenneth Udeze-led executive as the legitimate and subsisting national executive officers of the party.
- C. Uchendu Chambers said this is in compliance with the judgements of courts of competent jurisdiction.
TheFact Nigeria reports that the Action Alliance party events are slated to hold between March 9th to 11th 2021 at the ward, local government and state levels; and the national level on March 14.
In the letter signed by S. C. Uchendu, the legal team located in Jabi, Abuja, told the INEC Chairman that, “We are Solicitors to Chief (Barr) Kenneth O. Udeze of Action Alliance and all other national executive officers of Action Alliance, (hereinafter, called ” our clients “) on whose behalf we do hereby write you.
“This letter is a follow up and in furtherance of our earlier letter dated 15th February 2021. Attached to this letter is our previous letter quoted above and the letter duly enclosed by the subsisting legitimate national Chairman and National Secretary of the party respectively which has to do with the submission of guidelines and list of state contact persons /liaison officers for the conduct of Action Alliance ward, LGA, state congresses and national convention fixed for 9th, 10th, 11th and 14th March 2021.The said letter is marked as Annexure “B”.
The Action Alliance party has in separate communication, written to the Inspector General of Police, (IGP) as it plans to hold its ward, Local Government Areas, State congresses and national convention respectively.
The letter dated March 2, 2021was jointly signed by the Action Alliance Chairman, Chief Kenneth Udeze and Secretary, Vernimbe A. James.
“We count on your good office to provide adequate security, for the smooth conduct of the congresses and national convention”, the Action Alliance said.
As sighted by TheFact Nigeria, the Action Alliance also attached a copy of the list of state contacts, persons/liaison officers for the said congresses.
The party revealed that the ward congresses would hold on March 9, 2021 at the party ward headquarters across the country at 9am prompt.
The Action Alliance also said that Local Government congresses will hold on March 10, 2021 at 9am.
State Congresses are slated for March 11, 2021 at the Action Alliance state headquarters, also at 9am.
The Action Alliance’s National Convention will take place at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja at the same time.
Meanwhile, the Action Alliance has also submitted to the INEC, a list of 26 executive committee positions zoned to the states as approved by the national think-tank committee of the party for the March 14, 2021 national convention.
