The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has wussed out of its earlier plan to suspend operations in Borno State.
IPMAN Chairman, Borno Chapter, Alhaji Mohammed Kuluwu confirmed this to TheFact Daily via phone call on Tuesday.
He said, the issues raised in the earlier circular were being attended to, therefore, he has called the members back to work.
Although he denied being under duress to withdraw the circular, however, TheFact Daily observed that he must have been pressurised by the authorities in Abuja to wimp out.
Recall, Alhaji Kuluwu in his earlier circular pointed out imposition of the petroleum product price by the authority as one of the reasons for taking the decision.
He said, “following the critical situation as it affect our sourcing and selling of product at lost and the action of the authority to impose the selling of product at a lost price on our side.
“You are all hereby directed to suspend selling at all filling stations and also suspend payment of ordering products from source until further notice”, he earlier directed.
