Nigerian Afrobeat stars have earned a spots in the 2026 Grammy awards nomination, which is to take place on February 1,2026 in Cypto.com, Los Angeles, California.

The Nigerian stars nominated are: Davido, Ayra Starr, Asake, Omaley, Olamide, and Wizkid.

Davido, was Nominated for Best Global Album for “5IVE” and Best African Music Performance for “With You” featuring Omah Lay.

Ayra Starr, was Nominated for Best African Music Performance for “Gimme Dat” featuring Wizkid.

Asake, was Nominated for Best African Music Performance for “WHY LOVE.”

Omah Lay, was Nominated for Best African Music Performance for “With You” with Davido.

Olamide, was Nominated for Best African Music Performance for “Billionaires Club” featuring Wizkid and Darkoo.

While Wizkid, was Nominated for Best Global Album for “Morayo” and Best African Music Performance for “Billionaires Club.”

These nominations solidify Nigeria’s position as a powerhouse in global music.
