
The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has pledged to reduce the Nigerian Air Force’s infrastructure gap by 50% by the end of 2025.
According to a post on NAF’s Facebook page on Monday, Air Marshal Abubakar, who made the pledge while commissioning new officers’ accommodation and an upgraded NCOs’ Mess in Lagos, also pledged to advance national security and regional cooperation.
During the commissioning ceremony, the CAS also reaffirmed the NAF’s commitment to operational excellence, personnel welfare, and international collaboration.
He highlighted Lagos’ strategic role in hosting the 4th African Air Forces Forum in May and Nigeria’s first international air show in December 2025.

The CAS also reflected on his recent assumption of Chairmanship of the Association of African Air Forces, which he described as a key platform for strengthening air power partnerships across the continent.
