Cabinet Reshuffle: Tinubu Appoints Seven New Ministers, Redeploys Ten, Sacks Five

President Bola Tinubu has appointed seven new ministers, reassigned new portfolios to ten and sacked five others in a major cabinet reshuffle announced on Wednesday.

The announcement was made in a statement by the Presidency shortly after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held at the State House.

The list sighted by TheFact Daily shows that Bianca Odinaka Odumegu-Ojukwu was appointed as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, while Jumoke Oduwole was named Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment.

Others are: Muhammed Maigari Dingyadi, Minister of Labour and Employment, Idi Mukhtar Maiha, Minister of Livestock Development, Rt. Hon. Yuruf Abdullahi Ata, Minister of State, Housing and Uban Development, and Suwaiba Said Ahmed, Minister of State Education.

The President has also reassigned new portfolio to the following ministers: Hon. Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, current Minister of State for Education has been reassigned as Minister of State, Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Morufu Olatunji Alausa, the Minister of State, Health has been reassigned as Minister of Education, Barr. Bello Muhammad Goronyo, current Minister of State, Water Resources and Sanitation, has been reassigned as Minister of State for Works.

Others are: Hon. Abubakar Eshiokpekha Momoh, current Minister of Niger Delta Development, has been reassigned as Minister of Regional Development, Uba Maigari Ahmadu, current Minister of State Steel Development, has been reassigned as Minister of State, Regional Development, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, current Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, is now Minister of State, Finance, Sen. John Owan Enoh, current Minister of Sports Development, is now Minister of State, Trade and Investment [Industry], Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, Minister of State, Police Affairs, is now Minister of Women Affairs, Ayodele Olawande, Minister of State for Youth Development, is now Minister for Youth Development, and Dr. Salako Iziaq Adekunle Adeboye, Minister of State, Environment, is now Minister of State, Health.

Meanwhile, the President has sacked the Minister of Women Affairs, Barr. Uju-Ken Ohanenye, Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade-John, Minister of Education, Prof Tahir Mamman, Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo and Minister of Youth Development, Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim.
