Edun, Cardoso Brainstorm On Synchronising Fiscal, Monetary Policy Frameworks

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr. Olayemi Cardoso are working on modalities to strengthen the coordination between the fiscal and monetary authorities.
The duo convened a high-level meeting at the CBN’s Headquarters in Abuja on Friday, aimed at synchronizing fiscal and monetary policy frameworks, paving the way for macroeconomic stability, enhanced investor confidence, and sustainable economic growth.
According to a statement by the Director, Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Mohammed Manga, the both parties reaffirmed their commitment to closer collaboration in addressing current economic challenges and delivering on President Bola Tinubu’s economic reform agenda.
The statement noted that as the country stands at the threshold of a new era of economic growth and prosperity, today’s meeting marks a significant leap forward.
It said, the country is poised to unlock the full potential of its economy, create opportunities for all, and secure a brighter future for generations to come.
