The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN)  has secured two internationally recognised certifications ISO 9001: 2015 for Quality Management Systems and ISO 14001: 2015 for Environmental Management Systems.

FAAN’s Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Henry Agbebire,  who disclosed this on Monday in a statement, said the move reinforces  Authority’s commitment to global operational standards.

The certifications were issued by MSECB, Canada, following an extensive and independent assessment of FAAN’s operational processes, management systems and environmental practices.

This  development affirms that FAAN’s operations conform to international benchmarks for service quality, environmental sustainability and continuous improvement.

It highlights the Authority’s focus on efficient airport management, enhanced customer satisfaction and responsible environmental stewardship across all airports under its control.

The attainment of the dual ISO certifications further boosts FAAN’s institutional profile and strengthens the capacity of Nigerian airports to compete favourably within the international aviation space.

FAAN attributed the success to the dedication and professionalism of its workforce and the support of key stakeholders.

The Authority reaffirmed its resolve to uphold the standards required by the certifications while advancing reforms aimed at improving service delivery and safety in Nigeria’s aviation sector.
