FCT Police Nab Two Notorious Robbery Kingpins, Recover Stolen Vehicles

Operatives of the FCT Police Command have arrested two notorious robbery kingpins for their involvement in a series of car thefts from unsuspecting residents in FCT and its environs.

The FCT Police Commands Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, made this known in a statement on Sunday.

The suspects, 45-year-old Ibrahim Haliru, who is also an ex-convict, and 27-year-old Babangida Mohammed, both of whom have been on the wanted list of the command for the past few months, were trailed to and arrested with the aid of digital reconstruction intelligence, in a hotel in Nasarawa while lavishing the proceeds of their crimes, on Tuesday, 23 April, 2024, at about 3:00pm.

“Exhibits such as 5 vehicles, removed from where they were parked and myriads of items reasonably suspected to be charms, were recovered from the suspects”, Adeh stated, while, urging residents to take all necessary steps in protecting their valuables.
