Goronyo Condoles Wamakko’s Family Over Demise Of Elder Brother

The Minister of State for Water Resources and Sanitation, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Goronyo has extended his heartfelt condolences to Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko’s family following the passing of his elder brother, Alhaji Liman Tambari Wamakko, at the age of 86.

Director Press and Public Relations of the Ministry, Mrs. Funmi Imuetinyan in a statement on Tuesday said, the deceased passed away on Sunday, April 28th, 2024, at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital in Sokoto State after a brief illness.

Goronyo prayed for Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Al Jannah Firdaus and to comfort and strengthen the grieving family.

Liman Tambari was laid to rest on April 29th, with funeral prayers led by the Chief Imam of Wamakko Central Mosque, Liman Shehu Ardo Wamakko.

The funeral was attended by various dignitaries including H.E Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, Speaker of the Sokoto State House of Assembly Tukur Bala Bodinga, SSG Muhammadu Bello Sifawa.

Other were the former Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, former Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Tanzania, Ambassador Sahabi Isah Gada, members of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, members of the State Executive Council, Special Advisers, Galadiman Garin Sokoto Alhaji Aliyu Attahiru Galadanci, traditional rulers, politicians, Ulamas, and many other important personalities from within and outside Sokoto State.

Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko reflected on the inevitability of death. He emphasized, “Therefore, every soul will surely taste it one day. It is inevitable for all mortals to depart this world only at God’s appointed time.”

The Senator then reminisced about their family, noting that although there were eleven members, including the late Liman Tambari, only three of them remained.
The deceased left behind three wives and 15 children.
