IGP Reiterates Commitment To Police Officers’ Welfare

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has reiterated his commitment to the welfare of Police officers, particularly as it regards their accommodation.

The Police Chief made the reiteration on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 while constructing a groundbreaking ceremony that marked the commencement of construction works of Police Officers Quarters at Zone 6, Wuse Abuja.

TheFact Daily learns that the project, which was being coordinated and managed by Nigeria Police Force under the auspices of the Nigeria Police Properties Limited, will cover an area of 4.5 hectares and comprise 50 terraces of bungalows, a clubhouse, and a state-of-the-art sports complex amongst others with modern facilities and structures.

IGP Baba, who expressed his administration’s desire for a police force whose personnel were suitably accommodated, noted that various large-scale barrack projects are currently underway across the country, and will continue to be implemented under his leadership.

The IGP was accompanied by members of the Force Management Team, while the ground breaking ceremony was attended by Senior Police Officers, and other dignitaries drawn from all walks of life.
