The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out another scheduled troop rotation under Operation FANSAN YAMMA in Zamfara State as part of efforts to sustain combat readiness, enhance personnel welfare and maintain operational effectiveness.
Thd NAF said on Friday the exercise forms part of the Service’s operational policy of periodically rotating personnel deployed across theatres of operation to reduce operational fatigue, preserve combat efficiency and ensure the uninterrupted delivery of air and ground support in defence of Nigeria’s territorial integrity.
Under the leadership of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, the rotation policy has become a key component of the NAF’s operational strategy, recognising that personnel welfare is critical to mission success.
As one contingent concludes its deployment and proceeds on a well-earned break to reunite with their families, a fresh batch of trained personnel has taken over frontline duties, ensuring sustained operational tempo and continued pressure on terrorists, bandits and other criminal elements.
The rotation, coordinated by the Directorate of Regiment under the Operations Branch at Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, underscores the Service’s commitment to safeguarding both national security and the well-being of its personnel.
The NAF said the initiative strengthens the physical resilience, mental well-being and professional readiness of its troops, enabling the Service to maintain a highly motivated, capable and mission-ready force.
