The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has restated its commitment to nurturing the growth of Takaful and Microinsurance in Nigeria, positioning both as vital tools for advancing financial inclusion.
This reaffirmation came during a courtesy visit by the Board and Management of Noor Takaful, led by the company’s Chairman, Amb. Shuaibu Ahmad, to the Commissioner for Insurance, Mr Ayo Omosehin.
The Commissioner commended the company’s progress to date and urged its leadership to pursue greater ambition in expanding market reach, driving product innovation, and raising public awareness of Takaful offerings.
With Noor Takaful set to make its 10th anniversary, Omosehin encouraged the company to accelerate outreach and customer education efforts, stressing Takaful’s role in extending insurance protection to underserved communities across the country.
Both NAICOM and Noor Takeful expressed optimism about deepening their collaboration going forward, with shared focus on building trust, fostering innovation, and promoting inclusive insurance access for all Nigerians.
