The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced a temporary adjustment to the Abuja–Kaduna train service scheduled for Saturday, February 21, 2026, due to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council Elections.
This was contained in a statement signed on Thursday by the Corporation’s
Chief Public Relations Officer, Mr. Callistus Unyimadu.
NRC said the outbound train from Abuja to Kaduna would now depart at 7:30 a.m., instead of the usual time.
The inbound service from Kaduna to Abuja would, however, operate as scheduled, departing at 2:30 p.m.
Also, the corporation advised passengers to arrive at stations early ahead of the restriction of movement expected during the elections.
The NRC added that normal train operations on the corridor would resume on Sunday.
