Operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), have discovered and impounded a truck containing 70,000 litres of stolen petroleum products.
The Corps via a post on its Facebook page on Monday, said the truck was hidden in an inbuilt storage tank in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The NSCDC noted that the operation was carried out by the Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad as part of ongoing efforts to combat oil theft and illegal bunkering in the region.
Confirming the development, the NSCDC stated that the truck was intercepted following intelligence reports on the activities of oil thieves operating in the area.
