FAAC Shares N9.62Trn To FG, States, LGCs In Three Months -NBS

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) disbursed a total of N9.62 trillion to the three tiers of government; Federal, States and Local Government between September and November 2025, a new report by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has disclosed.

NBS, in the FAAC Allocation Reports for September to November 2025 released on Tuesday, disclosed that FAAC disbursed ₦3.64 trillion to the three tiers of government in September 2025, ₦3.05 trillion in October 2025 and ₦2.93 trillion in November 2025 respectively.

The Bureau revealed that in November 2025, the FAAC disbursed the sum of ₦2.93 trillion to the three tiers of government in November 2025 from the total revenue generated in October 2025.

The amount disbursed, according to NBS, comprised: ₦2.16 trillion recorded from the Statutory Account, ₦49.87 billion from Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), and ₦719.83 billion from Value Added Tax.
It said the allocations to the three tiers of government for November 2025 were: Federal Government ₦758.41 billion, States ₦689.12 billion, and Local Governments ₦505.80 billion.

The NBS report disclosed that the sum of ₦141.39 billion was shared among the oil-producing states from the 13% derivation fund, while revenue generating agencies comprising Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) received ₦29.64 billion, ₦50.71 billion, and ₦34.92 billion respectively, as cost of revenue collections.

Further breakdown of revenue allocation distribution to the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) as revealed the report shows that: ₦591.99 billion was disbursed to the FGN consolidated revenue account, ₦12.35 billion was received as a share of derivation and ecology, ₦6.18 billion as stabilization fund, ₦20.75 billion for the development of natural resources, and ₦19.17 billion to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)- Abuja.

The report also revealed that the FAAC disbursed the sum of ₦3.05 trillion to the three tiers of government in October 2025 from the total revenue generated in September 2025.

The amount disbursed comprised: ₦2.13 trillion recorded from the Statutory Account, ₦53.84 billion from Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), and ₦872.63 billion from Value Added Tax.

It said the allocations to the three tiers of government for October 2025 were: Federal Government ₦711.31 billion, States ₦727.17 billion, and Local Governments ₦529.95 billion.

NBS said the sum of ₦134.96 billion was shared among the oil-producing states from the 13% derivation fund, while the revenue generating agencies comprising Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) received ₦27.91 billion, ₦58.56 billion, and ₦29.68 billion respectively, as cost of revenue collections.

Further breakdown of revenue allocation distribution to the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) revealed that: ₦549.24 billion was disbursed to the FGN consolidated revenue account, ₦11.04 billion was received as a share of derivation and ecology, ₦5.52 billion as stabilization fund, ₦18.55 billion for the development of natural resources, and ₦19.32 billion to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)- Abuja.

Meanwhile, it said Committee disbursed the sum of ₦3.64 trillion to the three tiers of government in September 2025 from the total revenue generated in August 2025.

According to the report, the amount disbursed comprised: ₦2.84 trillion recorded from the Statutory Account, ₦41.28 billion from Exchange Gain, ₦33.68 billion from Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), and ₦722.62 billion from Value Added Tax.

The allocations to the three tiers of government for September 2025 were: Federal Government with a total of ₦810.05 billion, States with a total of ₦709.83 billion, and Local Governments with a total of ₦522.23 billion.

The sum of ₦183.01 billion was shared among the oil-producing states from the 13% derivation fund, while the revenue generating agencies comprising Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) received ₦25.46 billion, ₦69.57 billion, and ₦29.81 billion respectively, as cost of revenue collections.

Further breakdown of revenue allocation distribution to the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) revealed that: ₦639.36 billion was disbursed to the FGN consolidated revenue account, ₦13.37 billion was received as a share of derivation and ecology, ₦6.68 billion as stabilization fund, ₦22.46 billion for the development of natural resources, and ₦20.06 billion to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)- Abuja.
