The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the extension of the commencement date for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course in Sokoto and Niger States.
NYSC Spokesperson, Caroline Embu who disclosed this in a statement on Friday said the change was due to the ongoing renovation works in both Orientation Camps by their respective State Governments.
“In furtherance to the above, the new date for the commencement of the Orientation Course is Wednesday 12th August, while the Cut-Off/Swearing-in Ceremony date is Friday 14th August, and Closing Ceremony holds on Tuesday 1st September, 2026.
“All Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) are advised to avoid embarking on night travels to their Orientation Camps.
“The Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu wishes all PCMs safe travels to their Orientation Camps”, the statement read in part.
